Mudgas Tube Sampling Manifolds
(available for purchase, for lease or refurbishment)
®
If the above sampling manifold looks familiar. . . it should. We aren't trying to change sampling protocols or sampling methods. We're just trying to improve upon the container. As such, we are in the process of manufacturing and providing for purchase, "flow-through" gas sampling manifolds like the ones you are familiar with.

To sample with the above manifold simply plug your 1/4" flow line into the inlet and outlet ports on the back of the manifold, and then insert a tube for subsequent sample collection. When you are ready to collect a sample, remove the tube and replace it with a new one.
If you are in need of a manifold for your sampling campaign, we also offer a few for lease. If you currently have manifolds that need to be refurbished, we can assist you here as well. If you'd like to purchase a new manifold, we will soon have these available too, so please contact us.
Mud Gas Sampling with Mudgas Tubes
Mudgas Tubes were intended to function in much the same way as traditional flow-through mud gas sampling tubes. One of the major differences is the valve we utilize. As such, Mudgas Tubes utilize red and black "valve actuators" to mate up with pre-existing mud gas sampling manifolds. No modifications are necessary when using Mudgas Tubes for mud gas collection. We also provide "overcaps" to protect the valves during return shipment. Once in the laboratory, the red/black actuators can be removed to access the valve stem underneath. Simply pull the actuators straight off, and use your preferred means of connection for extracting sample for subsequent analysis. To aid in sample extraction, we are developing our "Mudgas Tube Septum Caps," for extraction of sample via a needle/syringe. Simply press the Septum Cap onto the valve stem, and give it a slight twist to ensure it seats properly. Once affixed, Mudgas Tube valves can be opened either by depressing or tilting the valve stem.
Pressurized Sampling
Though the primary use for Mudgas Tubes is aimed at flow-through, mud gas logging sample collection, they are also suitable for other sample types, including pressurized samples like wellhead and bradenhead sampling. Our regulating sampling device drops pressures from a maximum of 3000 psig, down to the recommended <15 psig for sampling into one of our Mudgas Tube receptacles. (See how to use it here)
Mudgas Tube Tire-stem/Schrader Valve Adapter
During the development of our Mudgas Tubes, it became quickly apparent that we needed to provide a solution for laboratories already adapted to tire-stem/Schrader valves. This adapter allows the user to open and close the valve on our Mudgas Tubes in a controlled manner, while also providing a means of isolating and evacuating the dead volume between the Mudgas Tube valve and the Schrader valve.
